For those of you in the States, I hope you’ve been enjoying the holiday weekend, and for everyone else? I hope you’ve been enjoying the weekend and days leading up to it, holiday or no, yeah?
Here we are, as The Fully Charged Podcast has finally caught up with the airing of Mega Man: Fully Charged… sort of. Please check further down the post for more on that, as we desire your input.
For now, we have the first of our two-part seeming mid-season finale, “Lightfall, Part 1,” which shows that the tonal shift we saw in “Enter the Wood Man” was not just a one-off event. In addition, Protodude and I take a look at the PlayStation Classic and discuss the Blue Bomber’s absence from the upcoming product in question.
Normally, we’d be content to cover a two-parter in a single big episode, as we did with the pilot. However, we felt these two stood well enough on their own to warrant two individual episodes.
With that said, here’s “Lightfall, Part 2,” which concludes with us discussing the show thus far and asking you, the listener, a big question…
Now, it may not seem like a very big question to you, but it certainly is to us. We’ve finally caught up with Cartoon Network’s airing schedule, which is something we’ve been struggling to chase ever since the show first aired. But now that we’ve done that, we’ve reached an interesting impasse.
We’re going to continue, there’s no question about that, and it’s not strictly reliant on there being new episodes of Mega Man: Fully Charged. However, the problem is that the shoe is now on the opposite foot from where we started — now I’m getting new episodes here in Canada on Family CHRGD, while Protodude is still waiting around for Cartoon Network to say or do something.
So here’s the thing: It’s not like there aren’t new episodes for us to talk about, but do you want us to figure something out (which we already have, so no suggestions needed) so that we more closely follow the Canadian airing of new episodes (meaning we’d have some catching up to do)? Or would you rather we find something else to do in the meantime, and post our new episodes relating to the new cartoon episodes after they air in the States?
tl;dr: Do you want us to record recap episodes based on whenever they come out, or stick to adhering to U.S. airdates?
You can let us know via the comments below or the various social media we promote at the end of each episode.
And if you’re not listening to the embeds above, you can go directly to SoundCloud or download them off of iTunes or Google Play (where this time, they’re already up and waiting for you). As always, the hosting fee is ours, but the choice is yours!
